Slalom Chicago Fights HungerStart Date: September 17, 2012
End Date: October 15, 2012
This fall Slalom Consulting is conducting food drives at several offices across the country in recognition of the United Nations World Food Day on October 16, 2012. Each drive is designed to support a local hunger organization to help with the main resource they need to meet their mission – food.
Hunger remains an ongoing challenge for our country. It’s hard to do anything well when you’re hungry – at work, at school, anywhere. The statistics are staggering – 1 in 6 Americans are food insecure, including 1 in 4 children!
Here at Slalom Consulting’s Chicago office, we are supporting the Greater Chicago Food Depository, a terrific organization that provides food support to 678,000 adults and children in Cook Country every year.
To support our goal of raising more food, we’ve organized a friendly food drive competition within the office. Each team is competing to see who raises the most food per person (teams vary in size). The winning team will receive bragging rights and a team happy hour. Everyone on every team gets the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped someone who really needs it.
Please support any of the teams listed below by visiting their drive page and making a contribution.
