Student Activities' Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive
Start Date: November 05, 2012End Date: December 05, 2012
Hurricane Sandy has
devastated the Northeast. This record breaking
storm and the damage it caused has created overwhelming need, especially in
New Jersey. Before this disaster, there were over one
million people living in food insecure households in NJ.
Almost 50% of these
emergency food clients report having to choose between paying for food and
paying their rent, mortgage, utilities and medicine. The hurricane has just
made their situation worse and put many more people in need.
Join Temple University
Student Activities in our "Hurricane Sandy Relief Drive" to help
raise food for the hungry during these difficult times. Nearly
300 Temple student organizations are invited to join in this friendly
competition.
And we've made donating food easy for you! Just find
the student organization you would like to support below and click on their
Drive Page to purchase the food you would like to donate. At the end of the drive, YouGiveGoods will
deliver all the food to the NJ Salvation Army and email you a tax receipt.
The organization that raises the most food will be awarded with a prize
at the end of the competition. Thanks for being part of this great
